but a carpet of them, sneaking up through the blanket of last year’s leaves or the first green grass where the sun beckons…

Until of course, Mr. Leopold, the Canada geese become year-round residents who have forgotten how to migrate, and can fly overhead at any time.
The swallows returned to Bow, WA yesterday!!!! Spring is official here! We have “Johnny Jump-Up”s
