It feels pretty old and rickety, but was perfectly safe. I held my breath most of the way across, just in case.<\/p>\n<p>; )<\/p><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/thurmonddowntown.jpg\" style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" border=\"0\" height=\"266\" src=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/thurmonddowntown-300x200.jpg\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>A short walk from the railroad depot, lies Thurmond&#8217;s old downtown, built right along the railroad tracks.  Several old buildings, including a bank with an impressive facade, make up the old downtown.<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/thurmonddepot.jpg\" style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" border=\"0\" height=\"246\" src=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/thurmonddepot-300x185.jpg\" width=\"400\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>According to the 2000 census, Thurmond has 7 residents.
