La nevada es silenciosa,<\/span>
cosa lenta;<\/span> \"\"<\/a>
poco a poco y con blandura<\/span>
reposa sobre la tierra<\/span>
y cobija a la llanura.<\/span>
Posa la nieve callada<\/span>
blanca y leve;<\/span>
la nevada no hace ruido;<\/span>
cae como cae el olvido,<\/span>
copo a copo.<\/span>
Abriga blanda a los campos<\/span>
cuando el hielo los hostiga;<\/span>
con sus lampos de blancura;<\/span>
cubre a todo con su capa<\/span>
pura, silenciosa;<\/span>
no se le escapa en el suelo<\/span>
cosa alguna.<\/span>
Donde cae alli se queda<\/span>
leda y leve,<\/span>
pues la nieve no resbala<\/span>
como resbala la lluvia,<\/span>
sino queda y cala.<\/span>
Flores del cielo los copos,<\/span>
blancos lirios de las nubes,<\/span>
que en el suelo se ajan,<\/span>
bajan floridos,<\/span>
pero quedan pronto<\/span>
derretidos;<\/span>
florecen solo en la cumbre,<\/span>
sobre las montanas,<\/span>
pesadumbre de la tierra,<\/span>
y en sus entranas perecen.<\/span>
Nieve, blanda nieve,<\/span>
la que cae tan leve<\/span>
sobre la cabeza,<\/span>
sobre el corazon,<\/span>
ven y abriga mi tristeza<\/span>
la que descansa en razon.<\/span>

The snowfall is so silent,<\/span>
so slow,<\/span>
bit by bit, with delicacy<\/span>
it settles down on the earth<\/span>
and covers over the fields.<\/span>
The silent snow comes down<\/span>
white and weightless;<\/span>
snowfall makes no noise,<\/span>
falls as forgetting falls,<\/span>
flake after flake.<\/span>
It covers the fields gently<\/span>
while frost attacks them<\/span>
with its sudden flashes of white;<\/span>
covers eveything with its pure<\/span>
and silent covering;<\/span>
not one thing on the ground<\/span>
anywhere escapes it.<\/span>
And wherever it falls it stays,<\/span>
content and gay,<\/span>
for snow does not slip off<\/span>
as rain does,<\/span>
but it stays and sinks in.<\/span>
The flakes are skyflowers,<\/span>
pale lilies from the clouds,<\/span>
that wither on earth.<\/span>
They come down blossoming<\/span>
but then so quickly<\/span>
they are gone;<\/span>
they bloom only on the peak,<\/span>
above the mountains,<\/span>
and make the earth feel heavier<\/span>
when they die inside.<\/span>
Snow, delicate snow,<\/span>
that falls with such lightness<\/span>
on the head,<\/span>
on the feelings,<\/span>
come and cover over the sadness<\/span>
