The f<a href=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/06\/moonflower.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"FLOAT: right; MARGIN: 0px 0px 10px 10px; CURSOR: hand\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/06\/moonflower.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>lowers open in the late afternoon and remain until early morning, sweetening the evening air with <strong>fragrance<\/strong>. They are pollinated by moths, but I&#8217;ve found the <strong>blossoms<\/strong> covered by dozens of bees on late summer evenings, <strong>buzzing<\/strong> from one flower to the next. The flowers are <strong>trumpet<\/strong>-shaped and the leaves like hearts. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:85%;\">Moonflowers like full sun and rich, moist, well-drained soil. Plant them in a spot where you can observe their <strong>silvery<\/strong> beauty by moonlight or near a window to enjoy the scent indoors. We grow ours in pots and along the fence surrounding the pond, where the vines <strong>twine<\/strong> in between the pickets and the blossoms <strong>unfurl<\/strong> just as the sun begins its descent.<\/span> <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:85%;\">Moonflower<a href=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/06\/IMG_0259.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; CURSOR: hand\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/06\/IMG_0259-300x200.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>s are easily confused with <em>Brugmansias<\/em> and <em>Daturas. <\/em>Some of the seedlings we bought this spring were mislabeled as Angel&#8217;s Trumpet&#8217;s (<em>Brugmansia<\/em>), but once these started growing, it was clear they were Moonflowers and not Angel&#8217;s Trumpets.  The others haven&#8217;t begun to bloom yet, but I&#8217;m wondering if they&#8217;re not Daturas, again mislabeled.
