no place in this great symphony of sound-<\/em><\/span>

of peace descends upon all living things-<\/em><\/span>

memories burn more brightly-as the things of<\/em><\/span>
substance lose their line and form in the softness<\/em><\/span>

Twilight is a time for sharing- and a<\/em><\/span>
time for remembering-remembering the things of<\/em><\/span>
beauty wasted by our careless hands-our frequent<\/em><\/span>
disregard of other living things-the many songs<\/em><\/span>
unheard because we would not listen-<\/em><\/span>
<\/em><\/span>
Listen tonight with all the<\/em><\/span>
wisdom of your spirit-listen too with<\/em><\/span>
all the compassion of your heart-<\/em><\/span>
lest there come another night-<\/em><\/span>
when there is only silence-<\/em><\/span>
<\/em><\/span>

and<\/em><\/span>
total<\/em><\/span>

*Really bad pic of the Tribute in Light <\/a>taken this evening from the North Beach Observation Deck at Sandy Hook. A small group of strangers met in the gathering dusk. The sunset on the bay was fantastic, night herons and small flocks of canada geese flew past us at eye level, and the lights from NYC lit up the clouds.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
