{"id":103,"date":"2012-04-13T20:35:00","date_gmt":"2012-04-13T20:35:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/?p=103"},"modified":"2017-08-19T14:59:06","modified_gmt":"2017-08-19T18:59:06","slug":"elf-orpine-blooming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/?p=103","title":{"rendered":"Elf Orpine, blooming"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An Atlanta Audubon Society bird walk at nearby <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gastateparks.org\/PanolaMountain\">Panola Mountain<\/a> gave us an excuse to check in with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/?p=117\">Elf Orpine at Arabia Mountain<\/a>&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_0973.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_0973-300x225.jpg\" width=\"699\" height=\"524\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was blooming, finally, that last weekend in March.<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_0978.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_0978-300x225.jpg\" width=\"521\" height=\"391\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The wildflowers carpet the outcrop in pleasing patterns of pink and white&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_0977.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_0977-300x225.jpg\" width=\"539\" height=\"404\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sandwort was in full bloom, too!<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: left;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_0964.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_0964-300x225.jpg\" width=\"548\" height=\"411\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Enough soil accumulates for these neat little plants to grow&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"clear: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: left;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_0968.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/www.somewhereinnj.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/IMG_0968-300x225.jpg\" width=\"511\" height=\"383\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Enough water had accumulated in this one depression for baby froglets to grow!
